Kana Clark

I have always been fascinated with the vast universe and interstellar objects. This love for space has greatly inspired my encaustic work. 

Within the dark ocean of space, the same elements we have here on Earth, emit all these unique forms and patterns.  Just as dust and gases collide within a nebula, I like to recreate that melding using encaustic painting. 

I love the battle for control between my concept and how the wax will morph it into something different and often better.
